16 – Zombies. Freakin’ zombies man…

Ah the zombie. A modest concept of the shambling, monotone moaning flesh eating corpse. Since watching the original ‘Dawn of the Dead’ as a child I have fallen in love with the sub-genre of the Horror world, and I can’t help but notice how zombies are everywhere now!!

No I don’t mean walking around outside in the streets, I mean in the cinema, in the game store and on the internet! There has been a resurgence of interest in the undead over the past few years, especially amongst the internet community. We now have more books on zombies, more zombie themed clothing and games, hell… even architects are taking a shine to the zombie theme. It may not be such a niche any-more, they may not be a thought-provoking terror of horror films, but they are more popular than ever before.

The latest release for the zombie franchise; Dead island is a role playing style game that throws the player right into the heart of a zombie apocalypse

Zombie themed clothing floods the online marketplace, is creeping out of the alternative fashion culture and spilling into the high street fashion

It seems the zombie plague has a presence not only in indie cinema, but in mainstream too.

A staggering maximum security house-fortress designed with the apocalypse in mind. It's like the whole world is living an undead fantasy or something...

Do you have a plan for when it happens?!

An attention-grabbing dialogue is price comment. I believe that it’s best to write extra on this topic, it may not be a taboo subject but typically persons are not enough to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers
